If Tomorrow Never Comes....

This song is by Garth brooks:

Sometimes late at night I lie awake and watch her sleeping She's lost in peaceful dreams So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark And the thought crosses my mind If I never wake up in the morning Would she ever doubt the way I feel About her in my heart (chorus) If tomorrow never comesWill she know how much I loved herDid I try in every way to show her every dayThat she's my only one if my time on earth were throughShe must face this world without me Is the love I gave her in the past Gonna be enough to last If tomorrow never comes 'Cause I've lost loved ones in my lifeWho never knew how much I loved themNow I live with the regret That my true feelings for them never were revealedSo I made a promise to myself To say each day how much she means to meAnd avoid that circumstance Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel*chorus* So tell that someone that you loveJust what you're thinking of If tomorrow never comes

I'm sure most of us have heard this song, but when you really think about it, every single day we should celebrate who we have in our lives- not so much what we have, but who.
We all know that we can't take material things with us past the grave, but the relationships we share with those around us are forever. I've always been a people person myself, so these thoughts cross my mind quite often. But if you think about it, if everyone cared more about each other, then I wouldn't have to complain about rude customers, (i shouldn't complain i should probably just love them regardless of their tone) also, families wouldn't sue each other, grudges would be non-existent, and life might be just a little bit easier. We rely on the strength of our own technologies to make life easier and faster, without realizing that sometimes our own human nature slows life down.
So, my message for today is, care about those around you, try to understand them, and know that whether or not someone just ran into your car, stole your mail, or someone lied to you, just know that we are all people just tryin to get through life, and if we all showed a little more compassion for each other, the world would be a better place.

A little of my own Philosophy....

Time... time can be a many splendid thing. Time... can be the worst thing ever! I decided that time may just be one of the biggest tests in this life. No matter who you are, where you live, what you do, or where you come from, we all are subject to time, we can't speed it up, we cannot slow it down. This may be a very obvious observation, but kindof annoying to think about. It's annoying because it makes you realize that at some point or another you must learn patience. No one can go through this life without a bit of patience to get them through. Most of us are all waiting for something, none of us are perfectly content, and so it frustrates us all.On the bright side, eventually what you want will come maybe a lot of waiting, and maybe not in this life but it will come because even though time sometimes feels slow, it always keeps going.

Today's Kid Show.

So, I was on time today. Quite early actually, so i opened the building and got things ready. But, when i went to turn on the popper, i pushed the oil button and cold oil (looks like yellow shortening or room temp butter) started coming out all over, and so i cleaned that out, then pushed the button and oil started going all over places it wasn't supposed to.
Then, after i got that working, one of the other managers (bless her) lisa, came in to help thank goodness. People started arriving at 1015! folks, the movie doesn't start till eleven!! well, we helped them all, but people just kept coming! more and more! (we did put the movie in a big theater) Too many people came so we had to once again turn away many unhappy little children. Will Kids Shows ever work out?

Oh the joy of my Job.

So, let me just explain a few things about where i work. I work at a movie theater, I am the assistant manager here, and I have worked here for about four years. I've only been in the manager department since about April. Well, at first everything seemed to be going smoothly, until summer hit.

First off, we are doing "kids shows" every wednesday morning for free, every week at eleven o'clock. well, it just so happens that i switched shifts with my darling manager lisa, so that i would open every wednesday because it works out better for us. Little did i know (and to her surprise too) that the first kid show was gonna turn out like...well you think of a word. The projectionist (the person who turns on and runs the movies) was not scheduled at the proper time. The employees were not scheduled at the proper time. and it just so happens that only one of them answered her phone so that she could come in earlier. Luckily i was able to get a hold of a different projectionist who came and got the movie going.

Second kids show. Once again, employees were not scheduled at the proper time. Luckily two came in after I called them. This was the second week, so advertising had really gotten out there, and more people knew about the show. Well, the movie was strung up (started) in one of our smallest theaters, so we had to turn a lot of angry people away. Most of which had already bought drinks and popcorn. OOps.

Third kid show. I was late. by a lot. and some strange man with twelve dogs in his rusty van was waiting outside the doors. but everyone got in and got in the movie just in time. (employees were scheduled, and movie was in bigger theater)

So i am awaiting the outcome of tomorrow's kid show and the disaster that it might bring. Good Thing, (sarcastically) the Dip'n Dots freezers both shut down because someone plugged them both into a plug that doesn't have enough amps. Now, let's just say they are not dots anymore.

One more delightful day that i might just share about, was two Sundays ago, I was sitting behind the counter with my fellow employee, Tali, and we were just chatting while all the other employees were on break. Suddenly, the power in the whole theater went out. It just so happens that we had recently got rid of our generators because they were too expensive to keep up when the power only goes out every once in a while. well, it did that day, a day that happened to be part of a weekend, that happened to be the weekend that Disney's Wall-E came out. Needless to say there were a lot of tickets handed back out. And of course a lot of angry people. (Because heaven forbid you buy a popcorn thats "so freakin expensive" and you can't watch your movie while you eat it.) sorry folks, we don't plan power outtages.
